American Airlines

American Airlines is one of the largest airlines in the world. There were a lot of things said and written about this company and many can be told. Sometimes people have no other choice but to fly to certain destinations and they need to use services of airlines. Some airlines provide quality services and have great fleet, some do not care about passengers that much and care about surviving in this business. Those who have chosen American Airlines are mostly lucky and do not have a lot of things to complain.

Overview. American Airlines was founded in 1930 as American Airways. The airline has five hubs in such airports as Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport, Miami International Airpirat and O'hare International Airport in Chicago. The largest hub is located in Dallas. American Airlines has its own frequent flyer program called AAdvantage. Member lounge is called Admirals Club. The tagline of the company is: We know why you fly, we are American Airlines. American Airlines has a fleet of six hundred and a half aircraft.
The airline service almost three hundred cities. It serves destinations on four continents. In North and South Americas the airline serves more destinations than any other airline. Besides, there are some countries and cities, where you can get only with American Airlines. These countries and cities are Bolivia, Dominica, Grenada, Anguilla, Saint Vincent, and Uruguay.

AAdvantage. American Airlines launched its frequent flyer program in 1981. It was the very first frequent flyer loyalty program in the world. At the present time there are more than fifty millions of members of AAdvantage. It is the largest frequent flyer program. With the help of accumulated miles, members of AAdvantae can do a lot of things. They can redeem tickets, upgrade services class, get free car rental, free stay in a hotel, some merchandise or some services. There are different levels of AAdvantage program. Flyers become members of this or that level depending on the amount and price of travel booked. There are the following levels of AAdvantage: AAdvantage Gold, AAdvantage Platinum, and AAdvatage Executive Platinum. These members have priority check in, and some different upgrades. Besides, they can get some privileges from partner airlines of American Airlines. There are also a special Admirals Club. Only particularly valued passengers can become members of this club. These valued passengers can be celebrities, politicians, and other very important people.
